Hey guys i'm new to the map editor and having several problems. How do you get the map to use your units and buildings instead of starting you off with a random race. Right now i get 5 peasents and a town hall to go along with my necrolytes and necropolis. How do you edit/make new heroes? How do you use triggers? How do you get creeps to drop items?

2) go to world edit --> unit editor (f6) and you will see a list of excisting units which you can edit. To make a new unit, you will see a button with a unit picture and the description 'create new custom unit' on the top of the unit editor. if you press it there will appear a window with all units that already excist. click on one hero you want to build your hero over. enter a name, and you just made your new hero. you are able to edit most things from the hero (like attack, damage, model, etc. etc.). With frozen throne you are also able to edit/create new abilities, doodads and upgrades.

3) Go to trigger editor (the exact F button I don't remember) and there will appear a new window. in this window you can make new triggers. Every trigger has got 3 things: events, conditions and actions. for more info, go to the help at .../warcraft III\support\WorldEdit\

4) Create a creep on your map. double click on it, and there will appear a mini-window. here you can change things like learned abilities, mana, hp, and other stuff. you can also change the item tables. a table is a set of items which the creep will drop on dead. if there is only 1 item in the set: 100% chance to drop it. 2 = 50% chance. to drop more then one item when dead, you need to create more sets.

1) You can delete the trigger which makes the 5 peasants and town hall.

Go to Trigger editor and delete Map Initialization category

you better don't, mihkel, because you will erase the victory conditions too...

then you better delete the action 'create starting units for player'
