I know posts very similar and almost identical to this have been made but mine is different because I do not have a router and it is a sporadic problem which makes the other posts not help me. I started playing wc3 tft tower defense maps with my friend and all was going well and then we quit for a few hours. When we went to play again he got the error, "The game you attempted to join could not be found. You may have entered the name incorrectly or the game creator may have canceled the game." It started to work again a while later and I don't remember what I did to fix it. I wish I did because it is doing it again, and I can't seem to fix it. He restarted his computer already and that didn't fix it. I'm about to try restarting mine. The oddest thing about it is we can both join other people's games. But we can't join the same other people's games. In fact, we don't even see the same games on the list. And yes we are both in he same Battlenet server. Anyone help?
Restarting my computer seems to have fixed it for now, but does anyone know the origin of the problem? I'm guessing that this is not supposed to happen and it would be helpful if I could avoid it in the future.
If you don't see it on the list then you are having to type in the name. Battle.net has a real problem with things like this because every once in a while when you get whispers that people go into games it will sometimes leave out spaces and things and make it very hard to type it in, seeing as how you have to type it perfectly.
True, but we are on Ventrilo, and we always make the game with the same exact name. And when the problem is happening, he can see my game on the list, but when he tries to join it, he gets that message. Same thing happens when I try to join his, except right when I try to join it, all of the buttons become gray. About 20-30 seconds later, I get that same error message. Anyway, I suppose I will just have to restart my computer if it happens again.
Thank you for responding!
