I don't know why but on all my maps all the trees have been turning into these pink and black checkered blocks. anyone know how to fix this? If so I would realy like the help.
this means you changed the tree model into something else. If World Edit can't find that new model, you'll see those boxes instead.
You either imported a model from outside warcraft III in a wrong way, or you changed the model of a tree.
So my questions are: did you change the model of the tree, or not? If you did so, the same happens to me. Either you have to reduce the "variations" value when edditing the tree in object editor (I'm not sure if that works) to the amount of variations the new model has. Or you have to use another destructible, paste your new model, check if the variations are ok, and don't forget to change armor to wood, defence type (or whatever that value is called) to tree, etc.
I son't think I changed the model of the tree, all I have done in the editor is make a basic meele map, I didn't import anything. I'll try what you have said here tho.
and this only happens to your trees? that pink-black block means WE can't find the model... this could have various reasons... Like non-working imported models, maybe just an error, ... Did you change ANY value from the tree in the object editor? if you did, which one?
I have the same issue, only it's not pink/black checkered trees, they're scattered throughout the maps, nobody else sees them but me and i haven't done anything in warcraft editor and i'm not sure how to change any of the settings to even come up with that problem, i haven't tweaked anything... any help would be nice :)
