I didn't make it!
..looted from who? If it's the ultimate Imperium war machine...why don't the Space Marines have one? Also why is the AI so hit and miss? Some maps(skirmish/hard setting) I'm barely hanging on as the hordes threaten to overrun my men...and in others 2 squads are enough to grind them into bantha fodder. What setting does it need to be before I see sqiggoth? and those demon dudes? The only big dudes I see are the Big Meks and maybe some Leman Russ's..or a Chaos FC...I want to fight squiggies! and smack down demons! I always play Space Marines ( for some reason in rts's, I always play the good guys) peace!....errr I mean WAR!
because it isn't the ultimate Imperial war machine it's simply the most populous.
It is, as the previous poster said, not the Imperium's most powerful tank. That title falls to the Land Raider and the Baneblade. It is frequent to see them in the hands of orks in campaigns against them. Even LRs get destroyed sometimes and the orks loot them too.
They can get almost anything up and running again, just not for long...
Play quickstart to see those. The research for the squiggoth is extra armour or something like that. It is avalible from the mek shop after orky fort.
The Space Wolves can use a Leman Russ Exterminator since it is named after their Primarch. (It's in their 3rd Edition Codex).
i think vanquishers are good the ones in steel legion

Hmm i'm not sure i've really understood this topic but i'll try an answer:
Most powerfull imperial tanks (ingame and not ingame) are the Land Raider (Space Marines), the Baneblade, the Shadowsword (Titan killer), the Stormsword (close combat/cityfight) and the Stormblade.
It's pretty hard to get one of these down, especcially when they're not running alone. Orks tend to loot/repair/refit anything they find on the battlefield, that's why their battlewagons look more like a mass of scrap metal put together with a pair of tracks to move on. They really appreciate imperial equipment which runs with quite any type of fuel/energy source (some Leman Russes even run by using coal).
Leman Russes are very common within imperial armies, that's why their wrecks are often found on the battlefield, and re-used by Orks.
Squiggoth used to be normal tanks back in the 90's on the Epic system, with FW's model they turned into "the" ork Superheavy, although they already had a couple of them: huge gunwagons.
lunacy!!!! leman russ is the most versatile and reliable imperial tank, it does higher damage on DOW (dont believe me, look for yourself). and is the best value for points on TT
i meant higher than baneblade
