Hi all, I was thinking about each races 'super' unit the other day (eldar's avatar etc.), am I right in thinking the marines equivalent is the orbital bombardment ability? Sinister

no, because thats more of an ability. the space marines super unit would be the land raider because bombardment recharges and the raider is just there until it dies.

super units are units that have a limit of 1. avatar, bloodthirster, landraider, squiggy, and baneblade. terminators have no limit, they are just a really strong unit but not "super" or "uber"

Land raiders have no limit on their numbers, I don't know if it is different in WA

i know thats true in regular dow, but in winter assault they changed it. so, i guess there really was no uber unit for the space marines in the regular dawn of war if nothing really major had a limit.

The "uber-unit" back then was the Predator. 6 of them backed by a Whirlwind would own, with Marines around.

Now it's the Land Raider. Back then, 1 Pred > Land Raider. (but you could build 4 land raiders)
