What has DOW come to? Any noob can win by sending builders over early.

In one of my first 1v1 games on DC I got turret rushed and I was not amused, I wasn't aware that turrets could be built anywhere . It is a cheap tactic if you ask me, especially with IG, but hey, if you want to win, abuse it and use it!! It's there for a reason.

And LS rush , pre - empt it, if you think your opponent is going to LS rush, tech up to rockets or dreads or anything. If you want to find out if he is teching or not sacrifice a builder unit or a cloaker and have a peep in his base.

Yes, I know that now ... Thanks for the tip though. I was just going to sit there and let them build turrets in my base :p

i reckon there are 3 types of turret rush (p.s. don't flame me - i don't like them. Apart from the last one they take no skill ... thats why i know how to do them!!!); 1. The Noobret Rush - they send in builders and try to build turrets next to your base. Hardly difficult to counter!!!!! 2. The sneaky Turret - they build a turret out of immediate sight but near your base and covering one of you close SPs - its sneaky and annoying but just make sure you spot it early ... then you win 3. The best turret rush IMO - is actually quite hard to do properly but if you manage it its quite effective. Harrass with scouts as you should be doing anyway, but send a builder over to their base hiding just out of sight, try to drag his units away from where your builder is, when they are a safe distance start building a turret in a good location where it will cause most disruption, if you time it right your opponent wont be able to kill your builder before that turret is made - then you have big advantage, especially as you havent really done anything different than if you had decided not to do a cheap tactic! p.s. I repeat - I am not a Turret Rusher!!! If i win i want it to be when the other person goes "GG, WP mate".

Yeah, speeder rush, I just don't get it. In the campaign I was repeatedly attacked by marines (Panrea Lowlands (?)), utterly destroyed their base every time, but they always had a vehicle thing and landspeeders immediately in the next game. WHY?

Yeah, no.8, that happens to me alll the time. Also what is a tad silly is how on the campaign al the other races can get like 5 honor guard units in one turn! Now that confuses me.....
