Dawn of War, Mission 4, "Destroy the Xenos" And yeah, I've got the game patched. My Whirlwinds don't seem to do anything when I target them on buildings. They hesitate quite a bit to even fire at the ground, and when they do fire on the ground, all that happens is they create a small crater, but none of the enemy units appear to die! By contrast, the machine gun towers pour bullets up at the cliff, and my whirlwinds steadlily show damage from it. I've been through this scenario several times now, and I can't get past this first step, my Marines get mowed over fast, and the whirlwinds are pretty much useless.
Mebbe whirlwind the troops, and jump down the assault marines and take the buildings - or vice versa
the whirlwind's are not thet accuret.
then stop relying on your whirlwinds
Oh I know what your problem is, ok in the start of that mission you get about 3 whirlwinds and around two squads of assaults right? Well the reason your Whirls don't fire is because they are set on the green stance (wait) which means they won't fire but you can sometimes force them to fire every once in awhile. Try clicking the green hand button when you have your whirlwinds selected and they will start attacking.
Some one asked this a while ago, but specter is right. I don't know what is wrong if that doesn't work.
drive ur whirwelwinds neer the end of the cliff and try. it worked for me and I have the latest patch.
I like whirlwinds for defence. I shove them a bit behind my CPs, and they defend from most infantry.
