You can destroy a Necron. It's just hard. Aren't they composed of something that GW defines as "living metal;" necrodermis? So couldn't they be eaten?

They could be eaten but I doubt it'd do anything. The Necrodermis is probably too strong for the digestive fluids.

Let's see Giant ass boar vs. Person. Boar wins, despite being stupid and ugly.

the way tyranids beat other races is by consuming there enimies and evolving to destroy them, but with necrons thats impossible since they have no organic matter. wraiths and flyaed ones can easily counter the best geanstealers and such, gauz waaeponry disentegrates matter, so the tyranids would not be able to rebuild their forces while fighting them. necorns own natural toughness would be enough to shield them from some tyranid foreses, ossible hormaguants and such, tyranid weaons penetrate and consume organic matter... so they would have trouble fighting crons. even carnifexs dont stand a chance vs necorn warriors as the gauz weapons would kill it in a matter of fesoncs (Even in the table top that is true, on a roll of 6 they wound no matter what and penetrate tanks) all this not including monolith and destroyers and heavy destroyers or tomb spiders. besides tomb soiders can repair even the most damaged necron forces on the battle field. i say necrons would win hands down since they are basically a perfect counter to tyranids, especially since we dont know if necrons will evolve more forces one day. even with mass numbers the necorns would win just because they would make downed tyranids un usable to create more and there own abillity to regenerate.

one thing though, would pariaths block the will of the hive mind since they disrupt any and all types of psychic forces?

I think Crons would win, since they have no biomatter ect...... and the nids wouldnt be able to make more forces. Easy win necrons.

you guys seriously underestimate the nids. they can still kill necrons with their weapons, and i'm pretty sure they could dissolve defeated necrons with very powerfull acids.

even carnifexs dont stand a chance vs necorn warriors as the gauz weapons would kill it in a matter of fesoncs (Even in the table top that is true, on a roll of 6 they wound no matter what and penetrate tanks)

a carnifex isn't a tank

EyeStabba;4724307well, the tyranids actually go around necron tomb worlds, probably because there is nothing to eat. This would give the necrons a tactical advantage (as they will not be attacked and can thus choose where and when they fight) but there really are a lot of nids... i'm not sure

Tyranids eat anything even metal

even if they do, it doesn't remove the fact that they go around tomb worlds (at leat the dead planets)
