nids all the way. its impossible to eraticate the nids if the planet has the hive minds full attention. not to mention i think the carnifexes are bigger and stronger than ultralisk...

I've played starcraft before and the zerg ar'nt easy to kill. First off, zerglings in the 'fluff' can be created in practicly a hour. And those things are not small fry. Second, the do evolve like the nids too. And a hive tyrant would meet it's match against a ultralisk (which is bacsicly a zerg elephant that is hella powerful). So all i'm saying is that the zerg are far from weak, but i think the nids might be more powerful, but not by a whole lot (i havent read all of the 'fluff' for the nids, but I have played starcraft and have a ton of insight about em).

Nids can spawn billions and limitless amounts of gauts and gene stealers in a day. They can spawn Hierophants, take a 30 story block of skyscrapers give it 5 story long talons and a gun that can wipe out half of new york city in a single blast. I'd be shocked if anything that zerg have could defeat that. No It wouldnt be close. plus 10 Gene stealers would be able to rip an ultralisk apart. If hey can tear through a foot of solid steel ceramite armor of a SM like Paper they can rip through some flesh and theyre fast as f*cking sh*t

The zerg don't stand a slightest chance.

Take it this way, the zerg as a race tend to create ecosystem - similar to the orks. THey come to a planet, kill more or less everything and start making an ecosystem. Elements of the race then moves on to "colonise" a new planet.

The largest non orbital zerg creature is about an elephants size. The tyranids on the other hand have biotitans, giant legions and are have a far larger creature base as such.

Also take into account terrans as opposed to the imperium. The terrans can beat the zerg. And I think it's clear that the terrans would be hard stretched to take on the imperial guard.

Thus you can draw the conclusion that if the imp guard have problems with the nids, and they'd have no problems with the terrans, we can assume that the zerg would have no troubles with the terrans and thus no problems with the zerg.

It seems like the WH40K universe really cant be compared to any sci-fi race at all, due to the fact that everyone seems invincible to any other scif-fi 'universes'. Way to go GW... :D

Actually as far as I know, and from the book here and there one picks up, Hyperion for one and culture for another are probably a notch higher.

Wh40k never aimed to be the strongest or anything, but it tries to be epic.

Well there are a few things from other sci-fi or fanasty that can beat WH40K, but those are minor parts of the universe, not the whole.
