Nope - you have to avoid passport emails. I.e. hotmail and such.

You can always ask a friend to register you a gfwl account for you.

I know that a friend had an oddly borked net that if he registered it via gmail, it would still throw out the error. But if someone else registered it (even in the same country) he could use it without issues.

Well I to was a little dissapointed. The game is to slow in my opinion. You'll have to do with a single tactical squad for almost 4 minutes, and that's when you have 4 points under your control (which is reasonable isn't it??). Also in MP evryone just starts with 3 Devastator squads since nothing can stop that, commanders are weak in armor and get mowed down trough that thing called suppression (who invented that? There is no such thing as suppresion in close combat warfare watch last Samurai damnit!) Assault marines can jump 1 squad, but bevore they reach the rest they also get under suppression and have nothing on their speed bonus. Also I noticed the Predator have very, very little armour and dying on small arms fire (few tac squads) while other stuff like carnifex and avatar just plain owns. Also the game is to much about controling points instead of really fighting the enemy. You'll constantly be running around your slow infantry trying to cath the enemy bevore they finish to steal your point, only ending in them getting away and stealing another while your securing the previous one. Players constantly retreat and try stealing something instead of fighting which is not only being a coward but also just not fun. If you then try to defend your points (so you don't have to spend the entire game running around instead of fighting which is not fun) then you can only send small amounts of troops to each point. Meaning the enemy can gather all his stuff and overwhelm you. The only sensible tactic is stealing something from the enemy while theire stealing from you, again not fun. Therevore I prefer Annihilate (also in original dawn of war) but when DOW1 offered massive base battles this game has a singe base with 2 extremely tough turrets, now those turrets are a challenge but once you take them down it's over. Way to short and not fun. Yea I can live with the fact that evrything is scaled down and smaller but this just isn't right. I'll hope they'll increase the req output and decrease armour values of normal units (not heroes damnit!) so they'll die faster. For the next patch. The campaign completely pwned me tough. Extremely satisfying couldn't be better.

I seriously doubt they'll increase the req rates again. When they did that in the Beta, it all went to hell with vehicle and walker spam.

The campaign completely pwned me tough. Extremely satisfying couldn't be better.

Glad to hear more people actually enjoying that side of the game:)

Well the game is just to slow now. Even if you capture like half of the map you'll have to wait entire minutes bevore finnaly getting 3 space marines on the field.

I recommend you look at the japanese banzai charges at US heavy gun emplacements in ww2. You have prime examples of supression there.

Also 4 minutes and one tac squad? A game can end in ten minutes. Not really sure wgat slowness you're referring to.

There is so much wrong with that post.

1.Infantry DO die fast. If they died any faster, it'd be like using a rhino+two HB'd tacts on T1 IG in DoW.

2.The game is fast enough unless you got a lagger.

3.Suppression and suppression units are easily flanked or just overpowered by other stronger units.

4.SM are bound to get better T3 units soon. Relic didn't want to give them too much imba like in DoW.

5. I don't usually take their points, just uncap or blow their gens.

6. If you're running around guarding your posts, you ARE doing something wrong. I usually take them straight on.

7.I actually start off with a tact squad and I can get another in less than two minutes. I really don't see what you mean with "FOUR" minutes. Like ^^^she^^^ said, a game may end in ten minutes.

2 minutes then. And the point was that swordunits will not start CRAWLING ON THE GROUND when the enemy fires on them. Why? Because CRAWLING ON THE GROUND will not make them survive, theire only change to survive is to get in melee as fast as possible which does not works out really well with CRAWLING ON THE GROUND since you'll only get slower. All movies show this, yes they get owned in the progress but it's the only way. In 40K this is different due to the power armour and stuff. And now don't go say i'm stupid because I got that stuff from movies ore documentaries because you can't blaime for the fact i've never ever seen a real warbattle.

And now I've played some more it shows that'its more the SM with their high unit costs. I've figured that you just need to stick with a few squads instead of demaning more which can be pretty frustrating. 3. Only with Assault Marines. And I'm talking early game. Evryone just has two squads out yet. 4. Alright didn't knew that. So the pred is gonna be stronger now? 5. Then they'll have faster time rebuilding gens (doesn't take time) ore taking neutral points. 6. "take on" you mean the enemy? Cuz that's what I said. Steal their points while theire stealing yours.

-Because banshees suck and are no good against anything unless you upgrade them with an exarch and shrine in T2.

-Any unit can retreat under ranged fire because the real damage dealer while retreating are melee units.

-I hardly get any laggers anymore, and they usually don't last long. Any race in this game has less units at one time. Veteran T1 Guardians can rape a T2 unit like tankbustas or spiders. Especially Nids with their nades. -Even early game suppression units can get easily raped or just flanked. A single HB dev squad will not cover enough ground to make it worth the investment. ASM are not the only answer to these units, you can use anything to go around them or tie them up.

-Pred might get a buff but I was going for new units. Or just add termies to T3 since they're basically useless now.

-Destroying the enemy gens early game T1-T2 is very useful. It hinders their ability to build special units like spiders or razorbacks, they can't tech, and they can't upgrade units with wargear.

-Taking his points while he's taking yours is useless. Leave a suppression squad there or any defense than go for his army or VC's. Spread your army, attack on multiple fronts.
