Ladies and Gentlemen,
We have been allowed to interview the DoW2 Community Manager, Thunder as well as a producer!. So here is what I ask of you guys:
Post in here some questions you have about DoW2. Make sure the questions are interview material, Do not post anything like, "Is DoW2 going to be cool," or "Is this game going to be awesome?". (Because we all know it will be anyways)
Here's your chance to ask what we all have been wondering.
DOWII is Starcraft III - Y/N?
Now this is decidedly interesting :).
a) When can we expect any more in depth information on the multiplayer mechanic of the game.
b) Will the game focus more on characters (the heroes) than DOW1 or COH did. In a sense, will heroes have a similarly important role as for instance in warcraft 3 and similar rts/rpg hybrids, or will the hero be merely an asset, an asset than can be ignored at times. Similarly as they are in DOW 1 as of now.
c) In which direction will the ME (if there will be any) take. Will it still offer the strengths of the current one. Just to mention some - easy texture important, external heightmaps etc. Or will it fore go these for more userfriendlyness.
d) Will maps still utilise SCAR coding?
e) If yes, will there a small in build application which could help creating the most basic scar code. I.e. drop down menu trough which one could create a small script - after x miliseconds, despawn all units around marker 1.
i got a few 1) do you have any news on the system specs. should i upgrade my rig befor buying the game. 2) do you have any further info on base building 3) can you give me more details on how we obtain units *if we dont have bases* 4) in the video, we see a tyrant going mortal combat on a marine. was this a sync kill or a special ability? -zeke
