As an owner of Soulstorm I downloaded and Installed the beta of Dawn of War 2 today. Unfortunatly when I pressed to play it my computer told me that "xlive.dll" cannot be found. So I reinstalled and redownloaded it but the same problem occured. Now I've found out that ALOT of players have this same problem with exact the same words. Because nobody is going to read the beta launch comments i've posted it here.

Has anybody an idea what might be the problem/solution? This isn't just my problem, alot of players have this exact same difficulty, for example check the comments under the "Beta Launch!" thread ore something on the main page.

ask relic or wait for them to say "oops we messed up and forgot to put in a key file that will run the game. how about we give you a good beta this time?" cause thats wat it sounds like to me. theyll probably say somthin soon. if ure really impatient (like i would be) search the root folder for the file.

Issue: xlive.dll not found error Details: User attempts to run the game without the LIVE redistributable properly installed Workaround: 1) Go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Uninstall the "Microsoft Games for Windows LIVE Redistributable" if it is installed 2) Download and install the 2.0 LIVE Redistributable from here UPDATE: There is a confirmed problem when LIVE is already installed from a previous title. It is possible to work around the problem by shutting Steam down and restarting it. There may be a delay when you launch the game as the updated LIVE redistributable reinstalls.
