The "coop" feature in most of the games is getting very uncommon.

This started approx. when Half-life came out, it was one of the first doom-like to loose the coop game option (but I can understand the story wasnt really good for coop).

Now all the games coming out, especially RTS and FPS games, focus on multiplayer. But it's often a multiplayer feature ala counter strike, the popular "team" deathmatch or for the RTS, a fast, expeditive gameplay. I can't say I don't like those games, but sometimes when you want to play with a smaller community, (top 4 players for a small LAN for instance, team deathmatch doesnt fit) it's hard to find a good coop game.

Still, they exist, but are hard to find, since that aspect of the games doesn't help selling copies, commercials doesn't advertise it too much anymore...

RPG are the last to (almost) always have a coop feature, but most of the time they tend to get boring. It's rarely true teamplay, the RPG I played in coop were more a massive slaughter of not very challenging encounters followed by a looting competition.

So this post is a small call to help, I'd like to find more coop games to play (any genre, RPG, RTS,...) :D Which are the great coop games you played ?

PS: I decided to write this after a good Serious Sam coop game on a LAN, and having heard that coop will prolly not make it to Halo PC version.

At least Brute Force has a good 2-4 player co-op
