I read Lord of the Rings back when I was a kid, yet I have read none of the others. I guess my choice would have be Lord of the Rings.

Incidentally, this inspired me to go through my collection, selecting the best of the best, and this is what I came up with:

So far, these are my two favourite books ever (I honestly couldn’t decide which one was the best): Lord of the Flies closely followed by Brave New World. The Boys from Brazil and George Orwell’s 1984 are also quite good. :uhm:

I also enjoy classic horror, by authors like H.P. Lovecraft (my all-time favourite, I must admit), Bram Stoker, Stephen King (Really only the Shining and the Stand), Graham Joyce, Clive Barker, and the great Edgar Allan Poe (Second only to Lovecraft).

The only science fiction I have is by H.G. Wells, Isaac Asimov, Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett. That said I do have some old Sci-Fi novels from the late 60’s lying about.

Fantasy would be Tolkien, and he’s about the only non-horror fantasy author represented in my collection.

Meh, this cost me more than half an hour. :uhm:

my fave book is probably Destinys way from the new jedi order series. but the novel along came a spider is quite fun too. hell i enjoy most books i have read. such a difficult choice.
