Would it be possible to liquify wood?

My friends and I are talking about it, and we were thinking that it might be possible to do so if u used rocket fuel (like from the space shuttle), and tried it in a vaccum, so the wood couldnt catch fire due to lack of oxygen, but what do you think? :clueless:

wood usually burns, as is well known, i think that it wouldnt burn. As its chemical composition makes it difficult to make the molecules expand far enough apart to change its state of matter. Im not perfect at this sort of thing though

It is chemiclly possible...but very hard. Wood is not pure so you would have to break it down into atoms. That vaccuum trick might work.

Pulp form, then added chemicals would reduce it further.

Ugh, was that your way of saying "bump"? No. It's impossible. Without oxygen, fire is impossible. That would be a good way to make rocket fuel soaked wood, though!
