atkins diet is a BAD idea, its just a bunch of sheet that that's been blown up by the media. Its a sientific fact that the atkins diet damages your health after a while. One person has died because of it already.
I reccomend, as a frend, you dont take this diet, but just eat ballenced daily meals, and exersise.

You should work out, have more physical activity. That's what works, not dieting...

I echo the last two posts. If you want zero carbs try water, its a lot safer than the Atkins diet - though you might want to alternate it with some FOOD! A diet shouldn't really be about what kinds of food you eat particularly - but the AMOUNT of food you eat. With regular exercise thrown in too you should be able to eat more or less what you want. Dump the diet and eat sensibly, good luck.

year try some more exercise before you starve to death... has to be worth a try
Well as of now i'm going to stick with the diet for a little bit. I don't plan on staying on it forever.
A friend of mine recommended a different diet his wife was on and she lost 100 pounds. The idea is to eat 0 carbs for 2 meals a day and 1 meal with anything, then eventually you move to eating no carbs.
I am going to reverse this, until i reach somewhat close to my goal weight i am going to stay on 0 cabrs then move towards adding carbs into my diet.
one of my best friends was a RN he is in most my classes here at University of Akron, he keeps an eye on me so i dont die ;) he mentioned drinking a lot of water, so thats what i am doing.
