Dear friends ,
since ive been working again with gtkradiant , im wondering how i can make triggers , objectives and similar scripts..
a short story:
in a map from ET i deleted all the triggers and scripts so the map is clear from any sort of objective or models... ( using wildwest models obviously , no need for metal trucks now :P)
anyway , i noticed alot of scripts info_null etc etc etc , i deleted them aswell since i think they are of importance toward the map... since i want to rebuild the objectives to wildwest standard..
my problem is that i haven't got a clue how to make an objective / explosion or whatever since q3 didnt have that :)
can any1 help me with a short manual with making a trigger/objective/explosion and info bits?
Copy and paste brother! :) That's how I "learned". The bank door in town is a good explosive example (even though the trigger is a bit small :)). Look at the scriptnames and targetnames in Radiant, and compare them to what is going on in wildwest_town.script. Also, http://www.tramdesign.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi is a good mapping site.
Info_nulls are usually targets for compile only entities like spotlights (null isn't loaded in the game, and not_null is). They don't contribute to "/entitycount", which is something to be aware of, and avoid exceeding about 600-700.
hmz i read it thnx gringo yet i still havnt got a clue on how to make explosions el paolo helped me into the right direction yet i fail to understand how to create a NEW objective , copy n paste didnt work yet ... so i need more information
