Allright Amigos here's my little penny in the pot:

Like the movie Maverick (Mel Gibson & Jody Foster in the remake). There's loads of money on the 4/5 story riverboat, the bandits are aiming for that and the cowboys have to defend the riverboat. What do ya think?

I, El Dragon, (and not being Queeg) think that this is a capital idea. It will be really snazzy, nifty and spiff. I, the ole reptile himself, (and not being Queeg) encourage you to continue with your afore mentioned scheme. In order to facilitate your endeavors, I shall devise and contribute ancillary anecdotes as deemed appropriate at some later point within this thread.

Very cool idea. Will the boat be stationary? If it's not, you will have some design challenges similar to TrainRobbery.

Stationary works, assuming you can jump down the steamstacks and come out again from the engine room!

Don't be ADD (attention defficit disorder) like a certian creative flaming reptile and get sidetracked before your done. River boat on dock with many buildings would be a nice map I think (either side could be on the offensive too (cowboys felt cheated and are out to get it back just for a mix up) I'll do some research but from the top of my head there should be a main room (2 stories high) in middle and then rooms off that and upper concourse, then top level will have pilot house (and steam wistle :D ) and such stuff. attackers should be able to scale either gang planks, paddle wheels, and various other spots of boat I'm thinking. If this is the missisipi (or similar) then ya want that nice clean water thats in the govenors mansion (by pagoda) as that's about the right visibity. If ya dont believe me, I'm on the Merimack river and you can't see you're feet when swiming under water from all the silt. The boat could either be a side or rear wheeler (each had their uses on the rivers rear for more sand bar areas) so up to designer to have fun with that. hmm objectives.... spawn flag on boat that controls which team spawns on the boat?? safe to be blown....(or series, first get into cash office?) escape route (past defenders spawn area, like that in battle creek makes map a chalange) what else??

@Queeg: Yes I personally think that the boat needs to be stationary, since this allows great views, underwater entrances/exits, battle for boarding and loads of beautiful features (poker tables, rich decorated rooms, etc.) @Dragon: You are totally right about my first map, probably it is ready for beta test somewhere next week (maybe on Iggi's server?) I'll definately let you know under the appropriate post ;) It was just my idea for a riverboat map (as people might know now I do not lack on fantasy, LOL)

Now a riverboat map I like the sounds of. So much potential there for some damn fine battles. When did you say you were starting El-Paolo? :lol: j/k
