yup there is a problem with the master servers
I've noticed when ever I try to get a new list for WW I hit the button and if I'm very quick, I'll notice that it's checking only 7 servers in the entire RtCW list.
I just used ASE and it brought up 500+ servers for RTCW.
ASE : 476 Servers for RTCW......
Is there any information about the failure (?) of the master servers ?
Iggy When connecting to a RtcW server, your RtCW client will announce its exsistence to the Wolf Authorize server by sending a message to 22.214.171.124 at port 27952/udp.[/QUOTE] This IP is close to usually LAN IPs. Almost all LANs I ve seen are using 192.xxx.xxx.xxx IPs. So if you are using that IPs and a a subnetmask 255.000.000.000 (or similar) then it could be that you are looking for masterserver in your LAN?!
ok your prob is gone now but maybe just your nameserver was wrong. You could check wheather a line "wolfauthorize.idsoftware.com resolved to 126.96.36.199:27952" appears in you RTCW-console-log

I cant understand why its down so often! It seems that idsoft doesnt cares about RTCW anymore since its old now. All players should complain about that. Which is the right address for that?

Check the normal RTCW forums to see a fix for the master server problem, I posted the solution in a thread there somewhere;) maybe i'll create a new one so It can be made sticky
actually Johnson, if ya can find it, pm me the link and I'll add it to our sticky list (why double post?)
thanks viper, adding to master sticky. p.s. remind me to dump some karma on you and Johnson when that's back up and running, I'm starting to get a big list, and not sure if I'll remember everyone. thanks gang. :D
