something about deleting all files in your rtcw/main folder except your key file.

yeah doing that can help.. best way to-do it is to rename your "main" folder to "main1", create a new folder called "main", and copy your "rtcwkey" files from "main1" into the new "main" folder.

something that helps even more is faster CPU & more ram :) what are your system specs gizmo ? CPU speed, RAM, GFX card

right now im running a 128mb RAM 900 mhz athlon, with 32mb geforce 2 video. a low end PC i know. the giz machine was being built over the winter but is taking long due to the fack im going with expensive parts etc. this athlon though, does have it's days. i mean i play games like jedi outcast, jedi academy, mohaa, even bf1942 (that however runs like crap). RCTW regular ran fine in the past, however this comp is filled with a lot of crap at the moment. it needs a format and im having sound issues with WW which i don;t think helps the game performance at all.

the sound skips and sometimes shuts off for a minute then back on but repeats and skips and i cannot find the source.

i am a die hard gamer and am having a great time being back into a FPS. ww is a game i will be playing for a while so i deal with the load times and lag and try to work around it :/

even though the load times are long on a new map, each map change it loads the map (which takes long) but then it crashes to my desktop (after saying something like server time limit changed) and after a few seconds on my desktop the game opens back up to a WW server message "unknown server error" and then i have to reconnect and re-load the map again. finally after all that i get in game, but most of the time the first round is half over. so the crash each time adds to the load time, but i stick it out :/

that's the PB 'no packet flow kick', it'll be kinda fixed with 1.6, for now, when you join back into a game, call for a restart vote (some ppl have no patience, and call the vote to soon) i notice some folks will go into spec mode when the game is about to end, i don't know if that helps or not...
