General rule of thumb is 25% of your sys ram, so if you have 512mb ram, then you'd set it to 128.

Hi guys,

Thats the wrong way to do it. In general the more mem on your vid card the smaller the AGP size you should use. 32Mb is plenty for a 64Mb and up vid card. Just don't drop it below 16.

have fun

If you have a good card with alot of ram like the geforec4 or even the fx 5900 which has 256 you dont need more then 128mb more, I would give as much as you can spare ecspailly if you have 1gb of ram. But you won't get any profmance gains if your card already has 128mb of ram on it.

I think the conclusion you can come to, as I have, is that no one really knows. Crank it up and see how she runs, man. You've got a gig of ram, jump that baby up. If it doesn't run well, you can always put it back down. Try running some benchmark tests and see if your scores change. Although if you use 3d Mark 2003, I'd almost say getting a lower score means you're better off, heh. Good scores = bad game performance for me with 3DMark for some reason that I have no clue about.

Benchmarked mine today, just to see what difference it would make, and found the fastest setting to be at 256mb. Tried 4mb for laughs, lost 2000 3dmarks(2k1). The difference between 64, 128, and 256 wasnt much.
