Damn right! My grandpa was in it! :stallard:
Anyway, yes it's an excellent series. I want the box set but it's $90.00 so I'm going to have to save up for it. It's totally worth it though.
my dad served in the 82nd and i want to! 82nd airborne whoohaa!
Those guys were the definition of heroes. To jump out of a perfectly good airplane into a hail of gunfire behind enemy lines takes a pretty rare kind of courage.

Ummm. In case you havent noticed its a movie and it was made in hollywood so dont base a movie on real life.
Well, everyone already said it, but let's beat a dead horse shall we? The story of BoB was taken from the book Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose (a historian, btw) who put some painstaking research into his books. The book (and consequently the film) was also taken from first hand accounts of the men that were there. This doesn't give you a picture perfect view of the entire war, of course, but it gives you excellent insight into what it was like for this company and some of the men that fought in World War II. Dismissing it as a "Hollywood movie" or American propaganda, as some people say, is an insult in my opinion. Regardless, it remains a fantastic movie for anyone wanting to get a further glimpse into World War II. [/COLOR]
how do you follow a post like that?
