there is a button on setting up the game which says create server. what is that?

can you put the game on a server to get a real good ping? i have webspace, and I guess my question is " can i host games from that web space?"

if so how do you do it?

thanks Captain Chaos:dropsjar:

That button is if you want to start your own internet game for others to play on. You automatically will play in that game and other players can log in. However, it is not a dedicated server, so it *may* not be fast enough to handle the load. You should have a broadband connection to do this, at least DSL, but cable or if your school has a really fast connection, use that.

Ping depends on many factors, like distance, load, speed and power of computer, etc. I ran a dedicated server once and other people told me my ping was in the low 50ms. When I did not run a dedicated server (ie i clicked on the create server button) I had about the same, but then everyone else who played were on the same LAN as I was.

Also, your webspace has nothing to do with running BF1942 games. When you create a server, dedicated or otherwise, it runs off your computer. Your webspace is for your email and if you want to run an ftp or web site etc.

Hope this helps.
