How do I make the BF1942 Movies? Like the ones that show gameplay?

The accepted way is to run a tv capture or video out card or something and record the footage to a video recorder, then capture it back. I have tried various utilities to capture gameplay on the PC while the game is running and it is just hopeless. When the capture utilities start running, even inlow res and small image size it slows the game to a crawl, about 5 FPS is all I get.

I am running a Athlon XP2000+ with a 60Gb 7200rpm HDD, 256Mb DDR and a Gf4 MX440 vid card, which is a fairly reasonable setup and normally gives me betwenn 70 and a 100 fps ingame. So I don't think it is possible to play and record on the same machine.

There are others with more knowledge on this subject than myself so maybe one of them will be able to come up with different solutions.

Hope this helps.
