Well here's the thing, Korko, and I've been saying this from the start- if the BHD mod captures the feeling of Black Hawk Down, of that firefight, and extends that to multiple maps, it'd just plain kick ass. The Somalis wouldn't be half bad either with a little tweaking (also add in those pickup trucks with the automatics on back, stuff like that). I think doing a good Black Hawk Down mod is one of the most challenging jobs though because it's really difficult to translate that BHD experience to a game environment, especially one that hasn't released an sdk yet. :p
i thikn delta force was a good game
I saw a review of Delta Force: BHD a few days ago and the single player game looked a lot better than the demo I'd played. Still only got a 3 out of 5 though and the host said, "It's no Battlefield 1942," so take from that what you will.
I've been trying to go to the mods website but have not been sucessful for the past day and a half. Does anyone know of a problem? Are they still making this mod?

The Battlefield mod is here http://www.bhdmod.com/ and yes it's working. But the topic of this thread is the Delta Force game, Black Hawk Down.
They should've taken off the Delta Force tag. This game is alot better than Delta Force games.
For the Black Hawk mod they should make the Mogadishu map and they should make it one gigantic city, with just the outskirts as the US airfield that way Americans wont get the advantage in the air. It'll be focused on urban warfare and the Somalis have their trucks and ambush zones while the Americans have their convoy of Humvees (50 cals on top) and they can have Black Hawks land them on rooftops and Little Birds make strafing runs on rooftops. But it would focus ALOT more on infantry rather than vehicles (they do tend to lose their novelty after a few rounds)
Black Hawk Down is a rather good game, and no it doesn't follow in the same fashion as the other Delta Force games. The MP is really intense, it's way different for me as a regular SOF2 player.
You first choose your type status (medic/gunner/close quarters battler/sniper), then you get a whole slew of weapons to choose from. The boards are wild, very large and graphically well made.
SOF2 can get kinda dull IMO due to the rather small sizes of the levels and the multiple hit requirements on some servers before you get a kill. That doesn't happen in BHD. You take a round, you generally keel over. You sit anywhere near a frag nade crosshair, you're gone.
One thing that's been crappy lately on MP is the abundance of snipers versus CQB or gunners, and a lack of medics. Everyone wants to sit the equilvelent of 1/2 mile from the battle ground and snipe. You get a team full of snipers and your kill ratio goes to 1:1 or lower on the kills. Kinda sucks, and allot of servers are removing ladders now from levels to counter it.
I like the CQB setup myself, AR15 w/ quick sight and nade launcher, 9mm berreta and claymore anti-personal mines.
It's really a good game, give it a try:)
