I'm new to this "outstanding" BF1942 Game. Please give me the exact steps (in order) to call in artillery on a position of my choosing during gameplay. The instruction booklet that came with the game is not very clear on this. Please, any info on this will be greatly appreciated! Thanks Very Much! Toddster.

there used to be a link or something which was a tutorial to artillery. it was an awesome guide, but i couldnt find it, maybe someone else will post it. but basically, you have to be a scout, and bust out your binocs, and then click Fire to call artilley, or 2nd fire to zoom in. then get into an artillery vehicle (Wespe, Katyashu, Priest) and right click as the gunner seat, and line up ur position to the scope and ... ok this is confusing, i just ocnfused myself also

Here you go, two artillery guides. The first one is text only, the other is much more useful for the beginner with nice pictures and stuff.

Naturally this only deals with arty in vanilla BF, keep in mind that the co-pilot position in choppers for some mods can also call arty, and the term arty also applies to scud launchers and other different weapons in DC and other mods.

Have fun

There is no real point of calling Atilery. If you do no one responds. :-( Im sorry to say it is an un-used feature od Battlefield 1942.

Unless you see me on!. You call it and I will pound it! and it's true it is an under used feature.Properly placed artillery can help you win a match if you can just find a scout to call postitions for you. what gets me is when I am playing a match and there are 5 scouts and I keep calling for arty postitions and not one scout will call any...?!?!?! S

Ps and I guess telling people not to bother with it doesn't help the situation either ;) s

When I'm on arty there's usually one scout who does call and he changes target every 5 seconds then complains cause I never hit anything the targets

have fun all

and that's all it is. A wish. I cry myself to sleep at night.

Lack of team work REALLY infuriates me. I go mad at lack of teamwork. I'm a walking disaster
