k, i play BF alot and usually just DC nowadays but i've NEVER come across anyone who i would consider a cheater
could someone give some examples or stories or something? besides using 'bright skins'
Most people who are deemed cheaters aren't really cheaters. They're just called that by complete newbs with no skills.
I agree I've been playing BF1942 since the beginning and have never found any cheaters that I know of. I'm not looking for them but I imagine they would get killed easily anyway. Only lamers would use cheats or people with crappy skills who need cheats to compete.
I know I've been accused of cheating myself.
battlefield isn't like cheat-infested counter strike, there arent cheaters unless you count 'bright skins'. people are called cheaters because let's say they are in the plane and with a plane you can get many kills. so i think it's just a matter of sore losing.
I have also been accused of cheating as well, sometimes I have twice the score of the next nearest player, but quite often it's tactics that get me there (and being the King of Tank Commanders of course). I cap flags regularly and usually get over half my points from that.
Sometimes we all feel like victims of cheaters though. I can run around the side of a building, see an enemy coming the other way and think I get the first shot off but he still kills me and I think "BS, no way!", but then I think of all the times I have pulled off three tank kills in a row in about 10 seconds without getting killed and realise what they must be feeling about it  .
A skilled player can run rings around, noobs and cheaters, they are only as good as their hack and they don't learn any advanced skills cause they rely on their hack. But noobs do eventually improve if they aren't driven off by the gay cheaters. So help and guide the noobs and slaughter the cheaters.
I can't say that I have definately encountered a cheater, I have heard of ppl complain of plane cheaters using speed cheats and aim cheats, and sometimes I think some of the flyers are startlingly accurate with their bombs, but they probably practice a lot in their planes like me in my tank. So no, never seen a cheater so they can't be that bad.

Some cheats like no fog can really hog your system memory. Now i tired this no fog on SP and with my system a P4 1.8 ghz 512 and a GF4ti4200 i lagged. Cheaters are just hurting themselves. Just today on Kursk i was racking up the points and not once did i hear someone yell cheater. Guess they wouldnt say much when half the time i was in a tiger. We need an anti cheat program much like Medal of Honor has now. They sure didnt need EA for help. We need a anti cheat program that can detect no fog, bright skins, radar hack etc etc. But someone will always find there way around it. Someone out there must know C++ visual programming and coding to be able to create anti cheat software instead of dice killing off client side mods. Thats why dice/ea dont release the SDK there afraid of what new cheats or hacks someone can make. Peace out.
All this talk of cheating is starting to make me paranoid lately when playing, I keep wondering when I get wasted by some noob "Is he cheating?" but I think it's just a bit of annoyance at dying that does it to you. It's getting bad these days, the fear of people cheating and accusations are flying around left and right more than ever before. I don't believe there is alot of cheating going on and it's just fear and paranoia by noobs and crappy players or people that just get p**ed off ehen they die (there are alot of overly aggressive morons out there)that is causing all this fear of cheaters. I mean there is no way of telling that someone is cheating by their score or how they play, I think it's just a collective paranoia that is circulating at the moment.
It's getting to the point now when I kill someone they come back at me telling me off, swearing and accusing me of cheating.
Just say i agree with you and other shit then theyll leave you alone. Or start talking in german.
