im replacing my crappy gforce4 64mb graphics card on my amd +2000, 512 ram system and i have an important decision to make. Im thinking about getting a ati radeon 128mb 9500 pro, AM i making the right decision? if not what should i get???
According to the specs, its the best card below the 9700/9800 of course. It would be a very good choice if you dont have the extra bucks to shell oout fo for the faster memory on the 9700/9800. the Ti4600 beets it on a few things, but with factoring in price...the 9500 is the best for the money...right now.
i would say get a Ti 4600 they are cheap and a bad ass card i have one and i think it is great. although the ati is better in some points. if u have the money get ati. but other wise if u wanna save money and get bang for the buck go with the TI series
The 9500 Pro can out perform the GeForce4 Ti4600 in many fronts because it is 100% DX 9 compatable where the Ti4600 is only DX 8.1. Pluse you don't have to pay extra for AGP 8x if your motherboard can handle it.
Just checkout the benchmarks.
Go with the 9500 pro have one in my with a bios crack and I get near 9700 levels plus paid only $177.00 at www.mwave.com for it.Go back to Nvidia right now?,naw ATi is my home!
the 9500 is cheaper than ANY 4600
hey thanks guys, but anyone know the stats comparison for the ATI 9500pro vs the ti4600?
so in the end the 9500pro seems like a good choice for me?, or should i get the 9700pro, or nvidia, so many decisions, so little time, IM GONNA CRACK!!!
I used to be an nVidiot. But they are slacking around trying to get this GeForce FX off the ground. While ATI is stomping their asses into the ground.
Throw out the GeForce and Say hello to the Radeaon.
