From the screenshots this will be one game i will buy.
Have you seen all the screenshots in this monthes PCgamer magazine? wow! they have 2 pages of pics and articles. looks great
Na. I subscribed to pc mag a while back and i should get my copy soon. Just by looking at the screenies dice can do more then eod itself in the way of gfx sound coding ect etc. And that huey looks bad ass.
i keep getting my PCgamer like a whole month before its cover date.
nice Graphics of the Helicopers i may have to but this game!
Yeah, that looks cool, specially that Jeep drop :D, anyway, think its still the same BF42 graphics engine?
I expected these graphics, your all fools, don't chuck EOD yet, did you hounestly expect to be playing it well into next year? will you be playing desert combat once this comes out? BF: Vietnam is not just an EOD killer it's a battlefield mod killer, and soon they'll all convert their mods to it probably...
I'd still play DC yes. Now if DICE came out with a modern warfare game that put DC to shame (as it appears BF:V is going to do to EoD) then the odds are slim.
Yes I will probably buy it also, but not simply cause it looks prettier, I expect a great deal more will change by then. There should be new netcode (or should I say, there had better be new netcode), with luck it should support more players and more varied equipment types etc.
I also don't expect BF to suddenly die as if it hit a brick wall. DC, EOD, Starwars Mods will still be popular even if vanilla BF does down die down some, and I also expect that as soon as BF:Vietnam comes out all the mod makers will be charging into that and remaking it in their own style.
As we have seen with Quake, Half Life (CS) and other games, they sometimes keep going long after they should have been dead and buried under six feet of old CD's
BF:Vietnam should be an evolutionary step in game development and most ppl will move across to it but many will still play the old one as well.
Have fun all
:cya: :cya: :cya:
Me thinks I'll be buying this as well, don't play EoD as often as I used to anyway.
