LISTEN UP you all, and sticky this if you must. I will explain this to people that just don't know what the bloody F "client-side" and "server-side" is about on the 1.4 patch information.
CLIENT-SIDE: personally added modificaitons of character and vehicle skins, weapons mods (zoom, reload times, etc.), crosshairs and textures.
SERVER-SIDE: modifications of the game itself either mini mods or total conversoins such as Soldier9 Realism, Desert Combat, Conflict In Somalia, Blackhawk Down, Turbojeep, Eve of Destruction, Forgotten Hope, and more. Players will be able to download a client-side mod of the game and join the server they want to play on running that mod. Merciless can be capable of this as well.
The 1.4 patch information explains "client-side" modificaitons, which will ONLY affect client-side, the server-side mods will NOT be affected therefor you won't see the end of Desert Combat.
THERE I SAID IT.
:lol::lol: Consider it stuck, man.
lol, what exactly did u edit?
I hate having tan camo in battle of the bulge, so protesting I go!
I added "1.4 Patch Clarification" to the subject.
When deciding on whether or not something is server or client side you must take a second to think about what you want to change. Pretty much anything that will effect anyone else is going to be server side, such as ammo. Something that only effects you like things on your mini-map are client side.
well, thats a relif
dude just quit bitching it will come out no matter what
And how many people will not be downloading 1.4?Hmmmmmm put me there. Hey phoenix wait up I shall protest with you.:D
Well... If Merciless does go Server Side they'd have to make more Texture Sets for all maps. But I'd have to say bye bye to some of the non-Merciless skins I have. :(
