Well today I just bought a Socket A 1.4 gig Athlon to upgrade from my 1 gig for 48.00  haha Just thought id tell everyone the good news.
cool, is it the 1.4 t-bird? heard they are good athlon processors for 1.4 ghz. and 48.00 thats really cheap.
Yes its a tbird
o my gross thats cool :frog:
Ha! I remember the T-bird 1.4GHz I built last summer and sold off 2 weeks later to a friend that wanted it so badly. It was a 1.4GHz Tbird, 256MB PC2100, GeForce4 Ti4200, SoundBlaster Live!, 60GB Seagate Barracuda4. He offered me a hefty round number $.
Honestly I think my XP1800 sys is better now. :)
Very Nice, Always More Power
NEVER SATISFIED, keeps gettin better.
Congrats! Anything to run BF1942 a little smoother is always a plus!
1,4Ghz, nice, i used one of those too, from around august 2001 to oktober 2002, that's when i upgraded my 1,4Ghz, 512MB SD, GF 2 Pro etc. to a DDR system, XP2400+, 512MB PC2700 Samsung, Leadtek GF 4 Ti 4400 MyViVo.
Those 1,4ghz cpu's run rather hot though, hotter then XP's.
I'm gonna buy a new motherboard myself. I'm tired of dealing with this RDRAM crap.
