Howdy everyone im new with the Battlefield1942 Files but not new with Battlefield, and i was wondering i take a large amount of time to load maps sometimes 10-20 minutes (or 2 times threw the song)my computer is realiitively new pentium 4 (pardon my ignrance i dont know much about computers) 128gb or something 56k soemthing else im not sure what kind of VC i have but im told its a geforce which is apperently good, and i was wondering if there was anyway i could change setttings to allow faster loads of maps.

your memory:128mb you mean. That is the problem i have with my 128mbsdram the maps take soooooo long to load. i can go and boil a cup off coffee which i always do and thge map will still be loading.

Get 512 or 256mb ram, then your maps will load great.

yea, your problem is ram, get as much RAM as possible, i say at least 512MB or even more, 128MB just cant cut it, and just because you have a geforce doesnt mean its a good one, a good geforce would be a geforce 4 ti 4200 and up, mx series dont cut it, well anyways i recommend a ATI radeon, they have taken the lead in video cards, radeon 9800 o yeah!!!, ati already has a better card coming out, supposedley twice as fast as 9800

The new patch hasn't helped loading times, infact im sure they have made them like atleast 1 or 2 mins longer than normal. If you disable the music, it sometimes helps the loading times.

Memory is the biggest factor, possibly a fragged drive (try running a defrag and see if that helps a bit) and possibly other apps in the background, specialy sounds (eg. winamp)... I have a SBLiveValue, and if I run winamp in the background while playing it will take about 2-3 minutes longer.

But back on topic, also defraging your computer. Alot of people don't realize defragging your computer effects how well your games run alot.
