I'm looking into making some movies about BF1942 stuff but I'm through with using Ulead Video Studio.

Does anyone know of a simple but effective program that can add cool special effects and transitions and 3D stuff and what not?

Please help.

windows movie maker 2 is somewhat more advanced that its previous version, with lots of nice transistions and effects, its available free at microsofts site.

I tried the adobe premier and didnt like it too much but u may so its worth keeping an eye out for, apart from that i aint to sure :/

Adobe Premiere 6.5 is the only way to go, everything else on the PC except Avid is worthless. fairly simple to use but very powerful....the industry standard for independent filmmakers ;)

You may want to check out Magix video studio deluxe 6. This is what I use and it works fairly well. The title effects are moderate but you can pick it up for about $80.00

I will be releasing a full length movie soon that I used this program for. Keep your eyes open for it. It should give you an idea of what this software can do.

What are you using for video capture? If you're not already using fraps I highly recommend it.

Thanks for all your help guys!

And yeah I use fraps its the only way to go, for now. But I just hate the way you gotta use 640x480 just to get fullscreen.

thanx :D Could'a and should'a been better.. next 1 will be and regarding fraps, If u plan to use "hud 0" you can get away with 800 x 600 recording, remembering to film the centre of shot slightly to left as the cropping will happen on the right hand side
