Ok i have a slow internet connection (24kb sec) and I when I tried to play online it keeps telling me it failed to connect to server. I would like to try online (although I understand there will be serious lag-o-thon). Why would it do this.

Most likely given your 24kbps connection, it is most likely due to date packet loss when you are attempting to connect to a server, and if I might say, you will lose mucho data packets when you try to play online with a connection like that : /

Battlefield uses approximatly 10-12kB/s download, and 2-3kB/s upload... This is for optimum gameplay. Were you saying your line was 24kbps? (Because thats a weird speed. I thought the only available were 14.4kbps, 33.6kbps and 56kbps). Or were you saying it's capable of 24kB/? Which is a 256kbps line. I just thought I'd ask because u said "kb per sec"... and maybe u meant kB per sec. If it IS a 24kbps then it's below the minimum spec of ISDN to play battlefield, sorry :( If it's infact the 256kbps line then u should have no problems and might wanna try a few things out, like downloading a program to check packet loss.

You would only get frustrated with the lag with your low connection. Maybe find a server with a couple of people, and the lag might be acceptable.

I've seen posts by people with 56 k playing happily in 8 person servers...
