Hey all,

By now I am sure all of you have downloaded & tried the newest version of the "Soldier9's Realism Mod" & wished that the Bonus Omaha Beach map that comes with it, was the default D-Day map instead of the sorry map that came with BF42 instead. Even though I feel that the map is still not quite finished, (Needs Def guns & a few buildings at the top), (only a few) I still think that the map is a blast to play. Too bad you have to find a server running the mod just to be able to play the Cool new Omaha Beach map. I have only been able to find about 3 servers up & running with a decent ping, only to have the MOD for some reason keep crashing back to my desktop. This is the first MOD I have ever had a problem with. It'll run great for about 15 mins & then crash. Oh well.

Anyways... I was wondering if anyone has been able to find another Omaha Beach map, one that is played alot. What makes the one in Soldier9's Realism mod so great is that it is no longer just a map where everyone is a sniper. That gets old fast as i'm sure most of you will agree. The new map has artillary shelling the beach & shore so now you have to keep moving. Damn good fun.

Thanks for your time! -Jeff a.k.a "Mobile Repair Guy"

Yeah MeatandTwoVeg,

I noticed the new download option for us Aussies as well, only problem is every time I try it I can't get anything, end up going to the US link anyway and getting the file.

Ah well, a good idea, just bad execution I expect.

Well I just tried the new Aussie download mirror for that new map "A Bridge Too Far", surrise, it worked, however, fast download? NOT! 3.5-4Kbps, was gonna take me over half an hour, so I cancelled that and went to the US filefront, 3 minutes later - finished!

Have fun
