I usally dont and complain on a public forum, but I have had it with the "me" sydrome that seems to be taking over this game. What I mean by this is that players only care about themselves and their needs. This is suppose to be a TEAM game. Server after server I find players who could care less about the objectives and are only looking for those little gold stars next ro their names or a specific plane or tank to "play" with. Look if all you want to play for is little gold stars and what not go play Quake or Unreal Tournament where the focus is the individual. I dont want to tell someone how to play the game, but Im so sick and tired of capturing a spawn for my team only to be the only one left to defend it because everyones leaves to go get more kills. There is no honor or glory in defending I guess, but it needs to be done.

Same goes for soldier classes. Dont play a freakin medic just to heal yourself! I play as a medic most of the time and I cant tell you how many times Ive died trying to heal a wounded soldier. Sure it cost me my life, but its not about me. I have much more fun and satisfaction when my team wins than when I get gold stars next to my name. But hey, maybe its just me.

I agree 101%, myself i usually choose engineer and run around fixing tanks up and don't score much at all, if i see the same people with top score and all the stars and then they begin with the " I own u noob's"

That the team lost don't really matter to them... and more and more of these so called top scores are spawn camping, in hangers as thats one way to kill loads of plane campers...

People should get points for either healing others or fixing equipment to, this way we would'nt have 80% snipers 19% bazooka's and then 1 assault all flying or driving tanks....

First off I would like to say this is one of the funnest games ever. But it would be twice as fun if everyone would play as a team. It does get very old watching your own team go for all the kills and offer no support to anyone. I was playing on the xclan server last night and was stoked to find the majority of people helping each other out. It made for very fun and intense gaming.

This is always a problem in every online game I have played. I agree with you, and often end up taking up the rear and doing the defense. You said you don't want to tell other people how to play the game, and that is an important point. Everyone else (or most of them) payed their money for the game just like we did, so they have the right to treat it like a Quake deathmatch if they want.

I find it amusing that often top scorers on a losing team will complain about doing all the work, and "carrying the team". They don't know what they are talking about. As far as I know, each kill reduces the ticket count by 1. Trying subtracting the total kills by a team from the total ticket count at the beginning of the map. Rarely will it be over half. That tells me that the game is won by taking and holding control points, not the combat in itself. Getting kills should be a means to the end of getting flags.

Play to enjoy the game, and if other players don't fit your style, I would suggest finding like-minded players. The best thing for team players like yourself is to join a clan. Contrary to popular belief, a lot of clans are not elietist all about "pwning joo". It's a much better game when you play with the same people, who work together and know each other's role.

I wear a clan tag when I play, but it's nothing official. It's just a bunch of my friends who play together. We use game voice to communicate, but that's about the extent of it. Everything else just kinda fell into place as far as tactics go, because we are used to each other's playing style. We win and lose, but most importantly, we have a blast either way.

I am on a team and I find the games I play with my teammates the most enjoyable. Most of them feel the way I do and we all try to help eachother and the smacktards as well. When I do find a server with others who treat it like a TEAM game then I will play for hours on end.

After tonight i am about to hang up my BF boot's. First we had a **** TK'er for about 2 hours non stop and then on a diff server the cheats hit there to.. Same old story i take 1 bazooka or Tank shot and my tiger fries yet hitting the cheat in the ass with my tiger after 4 rear end (close range) hits he turns around and zaps me 1 shot in nose....The game as become a joke for cheats and stupid TK'ers..

Back to UT2003 i s'pose...

what i like about bf atm, is that people dont care about your dies,

like i saw a person with like 3 times more dies than kills and he was fixing things in the heat of battle, and evey one was saysin "ta" "thanx" "kool" and all thoughout the battle!

Now thats what we need

Yeah more players need to take on support roles, but still need to get hold of these cheats before BF turns in to another CS..

I agree totally. The only way you are going to get any coop is to play with a clan or an exclusive group of friends (pretty much a clan). I think the only way to get more people to play medics and egineers would be to award points for healing people and fixing things. Even that wouldn't help to much becuase then people would shoot team mates just to heal them for the score. So i dunno... either way its gay.
