I could be wrong... But I think it is 14567. That number is the last 5 when you connect to a server to play and I do know it is a port number.

What that number dose?? I am not sure.

I am sure someone will see your post and tell "us".

well there citizen, if u want to start a BF server behind a router/firewall, u need to allow udp port 14567 allow udp 22000 (THIS IS ONLY FOR LAN GAMES. If you don't want that accessible from the net, don't open it) allow udp range 23000 23009 # Gamespy Master Server UDP Heartbeat allow udp port 27900 # Gamespy Master Server List Request allow tcp port 28900 i cant tell you how to do this, cuz it depends on ur router/firewall

as for the other question, when u join a server you see a number something like this:

the " is the IP address, this is like coordinates, it tells exactly where that computer is so that u can connect to it. the "14567" is the port. Its where on ur computer all the information needs to come in while u run the server. Another way of saying it is... (from the standpoint ur the data being sent to and from ur computer) its like the door number, telling u which door to use when u go in and out of the computer. Does that explain everything?
