I dont believe we will see stuff like that in the secret weapons. I think the only place we will see it will be "spidey's weird ass mod"
Cool I've been promoted to modder status:rock:
Im glad to see my original thread caused such heated debate!!
I think Spideys post in reply to breadsticks was good. You are right, Dice might as well have bought out a "wot if mod"!!!
oh and bread stick, thanx for beign one of the only yanks to remember that it was other countries apsrt from the US fighting against teh Axis. also, britain was in the war 3 years b4 the americans turned up. we had a much ruffer time. to watch films liek saving private ryan, u wud ahve thoguth that it was only the US storming the normandy beaches on 6 june, 1944!
Well Omaha was where they had the most trouble. It was the only beach that didn't go smoothly. They showed the British in The Longest Day and alot in A Bridge Too Far if its any help :deal:
Yeah Britin had it going for them, they were in bad shape. Another year before we (Americans) got fully into the war, the nazi man (we all know who that is) would have started useing his version of the "Dirty BOMB" I don't think Britian would of held much longer, with those raining down on them. My dads, pops stormed Omaha and he never wanted to talk about it. All he would say is( in a deep raspy voice) "if I told you, you could never comprehend what happened that day or understand the full feeling of those moments. So I won't dig up those bones." He also served in Africa. He has since past.:( Anyways back to the game. I like toying with the "what if" with in reason, it keeps the imagination going.
Secret weapons is not a MOD it is an expansion it adds more to the original game a mod is when you "MODify" the original game your confusing everyone by saying MOD :n0e: :cya:
It really depends on your definition. For a start the "Expansion Packs" Don't add anything new to the original game, the "Expansion Pack" plays by itself just as do the mods like "Desert Combat". The "Expansion Packs" go in the Mods directory, just like "Desert Combat". The original game is still there, and still only has the original stuff in it, nothing from the "Expansion Pack" can be used in the original game. The "Expansion packs" have new vehicles, new maps, new buildings, some minor changes to the classes and weapons. The mods like "Desert Combat" have new maps, new buildings, new vehicles, changes to the classes and new weapons. You activate the expansion packs like RtR by going into "Custom Game" and selecting the game and clicking activate. You do exactly the same with MODS like DC.
Hmm, the Expansion packs have single and Co-op playability, but is that really important to most ppl? So the only major difference between the "Expansion Packs" like RtR and the mods like DC are who does them, and how much you have to pay to get them.
"Expansion packs" are made by DICE, marketed by EA and cost $20-$30US, Mods are made by the community, marketed by the community and cost nothing. I know which one I prefer. Apart from that, and the tools used to make them, the mods like DC are basically "Expansion Packs" made by the community. If DC was made by DICE it would be an "Expansion Pack".
:cya: :cya: :cya:
It is an expansion! dc is more like an expansion in itself take for instance DCSECRET WEAPONS MOD that is a MODification "MOD" of Desert Combat because it changes the vehicles ( HIND helicopter is changed to have scuds on the end) but BATTLEFIELD 1942 SECRET WEAPONS OF WWII is an Expansion cuz it still uses the same vehicles as the original BF it just adds more vehicles you "EXPAND" to what you already have you dont modify what you have so there for it is an expansion not a mod
Just Because it is in the Mods directory in the BF42 folder does not mean it is a mod the original BF game itself is in that folder:cya:
DC is still a mod tho cuz it MODifys the maps to include there vehicles so its still a mod

It is very important to alot of people. Alot of people still only have 56k(my partents included), which includes me for the summer untill i head back to school. Single player in this games sucks, but its all i have ahhhhh!!!!!!
