Axis:

- V1: the original cruise missile

- V2: the original ICBM

- Natter (Viper): rocket plane with a big load of missiles in the nose

- Haunebu 1: German anti-gravity UFO-looking vehicle that flew in 1945 (photographed over Prague). 2500 mph, 30,000 ft in 3 sec, beam weapon. Destroyed before allies could get it.

- Heinrich Focke FW6, Fa223, Fa226, Fa283 or 284: Very cool jet propelled VTOL aircraft (see pic)

Allies:

- Time and space warping electromagnets (Philadelphia Experiment). Germans were working on this too, (aka "The Bell") and it scared the sh*t out of them as well - couldn't control it.

- Stealth technology (Allies got this from old German and Russian documents and sat on it)

- Jet propelled P-51 Mustang with forward swept wings (stolen from, you guessed it, a German design). On drawing boards and cancelled with war end.

- P-80 jet: Would have stomped the ME262 in a dogfight, never quite got the chance. Stationed at Italy just before the war ended.

To be honest I thought the jetpack was bad enough.

Ok, some of them are good, But that UFO type of thingy???? Let's just keep that in mods?

Now I would like to see some of the very late war armour though. like the JSIII. for example

Got to agree! Even the original JS would be something, also a medium\dive bomber for the Soviets as well.

At least were getting new Soviet and Jap submachineguns in the 1.4 patch, at long last!

Wasn't it that experiment when a ship with the device disappeared from the harbour and ended up in middle of town out of "green gas" edmitting from it? And the later on, people who were involved with that experiment either: keep disappearing and appearing, sonpiously (sp?) combusted or went insane and (eventually died)?

and what about the Nazi's experimental HELIPACK? :\ That would be even more stupid than a jetpack.

Ummm the C-47 wasnt a jet. Also the V2 was a shortrange missle. They only had drawings of the ICBM.They would of bombed us if they had um'.Oh and the UFO thingy was a real aircraft. They had prototypes.Thats why they call the Exapansion Pack "Secret Weapons".

None of the stuff they are proposing for the expansion was operational, so why not?

The Haunebu 1 was also known as the RFC-5. Flew forward and backwards at the same speed, 90 degree turns, etc. Used water and air as a propellant, with a radial suction turbine motor designed by Viktor Schauberger.

The Germans had some real crazy stuff under wraps, like the V7. This was a supersonic helicopter fitted with 12 BMW Turbo aggregate engines. During its first test in 1945 it reached an altitude of 78000feet and then 80000 feet on its second test.

That's some interesting stuff, Psycho. I would've never guessed they had a prototype UFO-looking craft. Pretty insane (and it forces you to wonder if UFO sightings throughout the years could be of similar prototypes). I hate the Focke VTOL though. Besides, all it ever really did consistently was crash land. :p

Unfortunately, most of that work was lost during the war. The SS (who controlled all the development of secret weapons) took 60 scientists and technicians working on a lot of this stuff out into the woods in trucks and gunned them down before capitulation. These guys were just thugs. Kinda like the Iraquis torching their refineries and wells and scrubbing their labs before we get there, only even more brutal.

Check out a book called "The Hunt For Zero Point", written by a Jane's Defense Weekly guy with credibility. Looks like NASA is finally looking beyond The Theory Of Relativity. It's the only way they will get anywhere. They are still hung up on old technology.

The Focke didn't fair much worse than the planned HO229 or the Goblin. On the Goblins first flight, it almost took out the B29 that was carrying it - it was uncontrollable. IIRC, I think it is featured in a book I have called The Worlds Worst Planes.

Also, just saw the Natter IS going to be in the game - very cool.
