Its sooooooo nice to see a gaming company serious about trying to get rid of cheaters. Hell if they got rid of just the zoom and bright skins I'd be happy. I hate cheaters, its killed alot of good online games for me and I'll stay playing BF1942 as long as they continue to try and keep the playing feild clean and even.
Thanks EA! ~Pappy :agreed:
There killing merciless.
I dont know what to say to that as I dont run any mods. There is NO way to kill client side cheats without killing ALL client side mods. Maybe you can partion and dual install BF1942. DL the new patch on one and not on the other. Im just glad to see the freaking cheating gone, its beginning to get bad.
I wish all the people that are saying to get rid of all the client side things would try out merciless, because they just don't seem to care about us that use it
Thier is not as many cheaters as some of you may think. People just get good at the game after playing it for so long.

You really think this will end all cheating? other companies have tried locking down the client. We'll get a few months of cheat free Battlefield, then the cheating will come back. They'll get around this.... I agree something has to be done about cheating, but I wish DICE would do a little more research instead of just taking the quickfix. I might agree with this lock down if it guarenteed an end to all cheating, but it won't. Its just a waste of time and in the end it will just effect the honest, non cheating Battlefield players.
When I buy a game, I want it to last. This can usually be done by the producer of the game encouraging skinning and modding of the game. So naturlly I brought Battlefield when DICE claimed it was "Modder Friendly" With 1.4 Battlefield won't be modder friendly, and while I still think Battlefield will become a major base for mods like Half Life has, I think it could have been something so much better....
So you guys are b|tch|ng about loosing merciless becase you are going to loose all your bright pink skins? Play the game like it was ment to be played, everyone with the same skins, so it's compleatly fair. Knowing that no one can cheat justifies the removal of client side modifications.
There is NO SUCH THING as a cheat free game.

Oh shut the fûck up newb! I doubt anyone on here uses cheats. And it's called historical accuracy. Don't accuse Merciless users of using bright pink skins... prick...

Oh my..... My friend...have you ever used Merciless? If you had before blatently accusing it of having pink skins you'd relise that is hasn't got Any skins of that kind, they are all historically accurate skins, no cheat neon skins at all.
Why the hell are you people blaming Merciless for neon skins? They didn't develop them!
MERCILESS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH NEON SKINS
....I swear, the human race is getting dumber by the fking minute.
