Guru3d.com have now got a fine selection of beta detonators up that will help your FX card no end..
i highly recommend the 44.90 to all FX users.. im finally seeing some of my cards potential.. and im sure many many more drivers will be popping out for the fx in coming weeks, i smell the new Detonator 50.xx series just around the corner
you guys suck! i have a gay geforce 4 ti 4200...
my mega christmas present is a Verto GeForce FX5900 Ultra Video Card, 8x AGP, 256MB DDR, lol but it costs $499.99! you lucky rich boys!
Don't worry man. The Ti 4200 is still a pretty decent card. Not the greatest but it should serve you well for at least another year.' If I were you I'd hold out until around March or April of '04, and then pick up an FX 5600. The 5900 isn't going to drop in price for a good LONG time.

You don't need to spend the $500 bucks for the Geforce FX5900... Plus from recent benchmarkings of the Radeon 9800 pros and the FX 5900s, that extra 128mb ddr cache does only about a .3fps difference, the extra ammount is almost absolutely worthless. I just ordered a Gainward FX5900 Non-Ultra. The thing is the price is only $380, but from a review at Hardocp.com Gainward Geforce FX5900 Review shows that you can easily overclock right within the software and accaully beat out the performence of a FX5900 Ultra. Now you can just put the ther 120 bucks toward extra ram accaully in your computer and bump up a couple more frames per second then you could with that extra 128mb in the card. I'm not sure the software that comes with the Verto cards of Overclock but as gamers know, Gainward speciallizes in cooling and overclocking technology. (also the fans have blue LEDs for cases with windows :)) just a little bonus.
Expensive doesn't mean better.....
Oh yes and due to the hard nature as I could not find these drivers at Guru3d (possible they were removed perm/temp) I have a direct link:
Doesnt mean the 50XX is going to be any better. Use omega drivers they seem to be better.
well the 50 series will be designed mainly for the benefit of FX cards just like the 40.xx were for the gf4 range..
i truly believe series 50 will bring the fx line of cards to life.
and regards to omegas.. they gone now heh.. but over at guru3d theres someone starting a new type similar to omegas.. they called "starstorm drivers" apparently using the same techniques as omegas did.
ive just downloaded both sets of "starstorms 44.90" (performance and quality) and will be trying them both shortly.
Omega's 44.03 is still up. The mirrors are anyway.
I have the FX5600 w/ 256mb and since it overclocks well it runs like a 5900
is that the NON ultra 5600? is that still using the nv31 engine?
