Just a simple debate question really...

When does skinning become cheating? What is the difference between the standard BF crosshair, and one from MC? If I skin a plane to make it easier for me to identify (even if I use historical colors schemes), why is that any different than painting an all yellow plane on an all black sky?

Just want to hear your opinions on this subject, and please, remain both educated and civil...

i guess they think that anything that modifies the game so it gives you an advantage is cheating. you could then say anything from using hacks to just skinning is cheating, but it depends on the scale of the problem. skinning a plane for easier identification really wont give you much of an advatage. whats cheating is up to each player and they have the right to freedom of thought and speech (at least in the USA)so just wait a bit, i know you will get wide ranging opinions from the full spectrum . I dont think its cheating by the way, modifying the game is cool,(in my opinion):)

I don't consider it cheating, either, but some would say that there is a fine line that can (and sometimes does) get crossed. Just wondering what kind of opinions most people had on this subject...

You know, I bought the game to play a FPS in a WWII setting, and to have access to boats, planes, tanks, jeeps, AA guns, etc.

It is just beyond me why someone would skin some of this stuff, including the players to be neon.

Are points that get you absolutely nothing in life really that important to sacrifice the artistic vision that the developers had and probably to void the one sole reason you bought this game?

I mean, did you really walk into a store and say to yourself; "Man, I can't wait 'till they get some cheats out for this game, because I'm gonna f*ck everyone up!"

No. You probably thought; "This looks fantastic, being able to control all these vehicles and play with other players, that looks amazing, I think I'll pick it up."

So at what point did you fools [the cheaters] say; "I need some cheats."

Was it because you rarely got into the top three? Got tired of someone precision sniping you? Couldn't go prone quick enough before someone capped your a$$? Couldn't hit the broad-side of a barn without a huge friggin neon circle on the vehicle?

Please. You want to skin stuff up neon and whatever else, use the Toad cheat, go right ahead. Because at the end of the game, me personally, I won, I don't care if I'm sitting at the bottom of the list, I won because I tried my hardest and I enjoyed playing the game for its theme, its graphics, and having my friends with me on the server.

And you won because you had help with a cheat.

Congrats for all you cheaters out there...

Every game is plagued with cheaters and hacks. Honestly I dont see how a neon green tank or orange soldier is going to make you a better player. The only way I could see a bright color skin being useful is when you are a sniper, but this game is not built around strickly soldier to soldier combat. In the end if you have to make your game look like a rave party gone bad in order to win, then you might need to take up a new hobby.
