Why is the scout class so overplayed? In the screenshot you can see we were losing badly and didn't have enough players moving up capping flags. This has been the case in almost every map and server I've been on lately. But in Cassino after this map in the screenshot (Husky) we had more assaults than snipers as Axis and we were winning while the French had too many snipers.

This is beginning to bug me.

OK, we all know that snipers in moderation are essential, but it is basically the class for smacktards thinking they are skillful. It is the easy class, it is an excellent excuse for hiding behind a wall waiting for a plane to respawn. I play sniper occasionally, but I do not spawn camp like that.

lol...funny screen shot, that sucks...BUT Go Postal!...you are wrong..t is not the easy class, it DOES take skill, especially when it close up combat...also, you have to lead people, in mohaa, you didnt have to lead the people. Here you do.

The other day I saw a similar thing on a server, all but 2 of the snipers on the team had no kills and were at the bottom of the scoring list.

You can't do anything about it, its a fact of online gaming that you'll get dumbass smacktards. I just change server, there's plenty out there.

We ought to get a clan together and give each person a job they are good at. If.... Alucard3 is a good (proven) pilot, he gets a plane. Uganda is rather good with arty or a tank (again, proven) give him a tank.

Find out, by testing each person, who is good at what and when that clan goes to war, each man (or woman. my wife loves this game!) everyone knows their role (:D) and performs accordingly.

That's how it should be, I drive tanks, get in my way and you're toast. :lol:

But noobs and smacktards don't play sniper cause it's easy, they play it cause they don't get killed as much. Your typical noob/smacktard plays like this.

Spawn/rush out/die 2 seconds later/repawn/drive tank/die before they even see other tank (usually me :lol: )/respawn/plane camp/take off, hit first tree/die etc....

But as snipers - they spawn furthest away from the bullets, sneak over the hills and wait ages for any enemies, kill maybe one or two, then boast that they played an entire game without getting killed! Oh yes, and they suck at spotting for arty. All you get is "I have a target for artillery", then if you don't hit it in five seconds they say it again and again and again so you can't target properly.

I reckon the admin should be able to set limits on troop deployment. A number of spawns available for each class depending on the map. With unlimited for some classes to take up the slack. For instance for the new map I would have unlimited engineers but limit the scouts etc. Otherwise everybody (smacktards that is) would claim to be expert pilots :lol:
