I recently got my battlefield reinstalled and downloaded this cool looking map "Battle of Britain". Now it's a cool map. But I was thinking... ...If they can just make maps that have new features such as radar stations and planes. why the hell did they charge us $20 or whatever it was for Road to Rome? I mean, they could have just released those "Official Maps"(anzio, baytown, etc) every week or something and saved us all some money and dissapointment. We would still get all the new vehicles and everything. Does anyone else agree that RTR just could have been a series of "official maps" or just a new patch for download!! I want my $20 back if your just gonna release maps with new features for free. EA is too money hungry. :furious:  :furious:

RTR for me was a lot of fun. And EA is a business why would they give it to you free if they can make money out of it? the Battle of Britain map is just one map and they could not of sold it. :)

the thing is, i paid £20 for RtR and was disappointed. it just looked like a mod to me, just dif skins, vehicles, weapons and only a few maps. it wasnt really worth the money but you have to have RtR to play on some servers so i guess its not TOO bad.

Of course, but im saying that EA could have released all the RTR maps just like the battle of britain map. Just a simple donwload. BoB map has a new vehicle. Road to rome had some. You getting what im saying here? Road to Rome didnt need to exist. They could have released all the RTR maps with their new vehicles as simple downloads. Make money...yes, but it wasn't a necessary thing. Oh well :moon:

you dont get it those maps BOB coral sea aberdeen are bonus maps rtr is a expansion to bf and they charge money for the cd shiping and developing I think that the 30 euro they ask isnt too high for a good expansion lke RTR plus ea releases maps and makes patches to improve the gameplay what you do is comparing a expansion of about 500mb with a single map of 40mb very unthankful this is I think EA delivers better work than others do only at one point they had a failure and that is the modding things the sdk should be released but they are working on it I think they released a mapping tool and about the expansions dont complain you are still the one who buys it wont you? if you dislike the xpacks then dont buy them you know why they are so expensive cus of a lot of people download them and dont buy them I know some people who come to me and ask if they may copy my game but I dont allow it cus I think that copuying games has no purpose only of destroying the whole games industry and then if they are gone noone can play games anymore only the ones who are made but nothing more I do this cus I want to become one myself and you guys it is not your fault as I read it here you bought everything that is very good but I get a lot of peeps who say to me that I have a lot of games original I say yeah I buy them noone else does

Actually the CD manufacturing and devloping doesn't cost that much. In fact in most products it costs like a measly 10¢-$2 to manufacture the product. They sell it to retailers for like $15 each and then the retailers slap on an extra couple dollars for profit. It's a cycle.

RTR Was a failed expanision. I wan't an expansion to give the game a new feel RTR did not do that.
