Is there a maximum number of weapon hardpoints a ship can have? I wish to make the ships more cannon to the published material about them. For example, I want the Sovreign to have 16 phaser hardpoints, and 11 torpedo hardpoints, to reflect the ship as seen in Nemesis. Anyone have some comments?

Thanks, Tom

I don't think there is a limit. Placing them and getting the correct arcs might be hard, though. Good luck.

Yes, there is a maximum number of hardpoints a ship can have: No more than 15 Primary Weapons No more than 15 Heavy Weapons No more than 24 TOTAL weapons systems (Primary and Secondary Combined) The numberer name of the weapon (i.e. 1, 2, 3, ... , 7, 8, etc...) is actually irrelevant. That is to say you can have weapons 1, 5, 7, 10 be primary, and the rest heavy.. if you so choose, as long as you identify them correctly in the DefaultCore. However the convention is that weapons 1-11 are primary, and 12-22 are heavy (that leaves 2 more to play with if ALL of the others are used.) You CAN say use 1-6 as primary, and 7-24 as heavy if you want to... tho if you are using D'deridix's hardpoint setup utility it gets a bit confusing.
