Since I've been banned from WOW thought I'd vent here. It seems Blizzards approach to rule breaking is not the carefully graded response they show i their Punishment volcano. For me it was straight to banning my account no discussion just an email full of legalese that didn't point out my crimes in any decipherable way and an email address to contact. Then as in most cases no response I assume they use some sort of program and detected that a guild member used my character shortly after I did - Hey presto I must be a gold seller. - never mind that I make gold as slow as anyone and it took me 18 months to get to lvl 69. Now its just wait for some sort of response when they can be bothered. In the meantime my guld has no banks  and I am tempted to close my Team speak server:bawl: so much for supporting the guild system and cooperative play .

Just to point out, account sharing is a direct violation of the End User License Agreement. Your account is for you and you alone.

Therefore, they were fully justified in banning you since you directly violated a legally-binding contract - you broke your part of the bargain, so they broke theirs in response.

"Supporting co-operative play" and preventing account sharing are two very different things.

Also, if your guild were entrusting you with all their money and items, then they're not very bright.

Last time I checked, WoW had in-game banks for storage. They should use those to store their stuff.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

My account was also banned last year, and I got no email. I had to fax all of my info to their office and about 2 months later they sent me an email telling me they cant even tell me why.

And @Kouen

A guild bank isn't somewhere for people to keep their stuff. It is a way to give items to the guild for money for potions and things for raiding, or even to give to other guildies if needed. Usually resulting in you getting some DKP.

Sorry, I misread. Usually in MMOs when people refer to a "bank"/"stash" they're referring to either the in-game storage or a mule character.

Heh, must be pretty easy tell I've been out of the WoW loop for a long time...

Took me a while to get used to the new terms and stuff. Quite a bit different from D2 and such.

You must have been banned for a particular reason. Maybe the reason was outlined in the email that they sent you.

From personal experience, you can't break the rules and get away with it. And they don't randomly drop the ban hammer on innocent accounts. You must have deserved the ban in same shape or form.

Unless you've been suspended, in which case you can log back in after the temporary ban has been lifted and transfer your guild banks to another persons account before you use up your final warning.

Well that sucks, maybe you should just put the guy on ignore rather than telling him to put a rooster in his mouth or any bodily cavity for that matter.
