With the shaman I use, Since I built him for PvP, I always have a rank 1 version of Earth shock handy, it stops casters, and costs me next to nothing mana.

Earth shock is an offensive skill. Id rather stop the caster and do no damage than lose alot of mana and do damage that wasnt worth it.

Yeah, why not? Shamans have the most highest-ranked skills in the game, and I have every one, plus 4 macros, and various other non-skill related stuff of my actions bars. Don't tell me you don't have room. If not, then get a bar mod.

I've got around 7 spells I need to have besides hotbinding skills such as 'blink', 'counterspell', 'ice block', 'will of the forsaken', 'presence of mind', and 'cold snap'. I barely have room for the ones I need.

Where's this Blue post? Sounds like crap if you read the skill discription: 80 Mana Instant cast 15 sec cooldown Tools: Air Totem Summons a Grounding Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster that absorbs one harmful spell every 10 seconds for each nearby party member. Will not absorb area of effect spells. Lasts 45 sec.

Because it's still an offensive spell, it just doesn't cause harm. The same deal with counterspell. Try the search function on WoW-forum, it's totally broken. Sheep does not cause harm. And, as you can see, it only absorbs one skill per 10 seconds (6 if they're stupid enough to use the crapy talent). Sheep has no cooldown, if I'm right?

Cone of Cold? Instant cast, slows their speed. Blink out of WIng Clip? Like I said, you need to use a combination here.

Which they can trinket out of. I can't blink out of Wing Clip, which slows ME more than Cone of Cold slows them. (The only thing worth blinking out of is Imp. Wing Clip, but I'll help them by doing so, since they benefit more from distance.

Still worth a try tough, surely? And 60 aint alot. Like I said, 60 isn't a hell of a lot. It's still counted as having 'Poor' resistance. Cry for Shamans post-AQ, when everyone has 300 Nature Resistance. We don't have any other type of spells, bar two, that aren't Nature.

And what about MC/BWL for firemages? Even so, 60 is HELLUVA lot for frostmages since frost is BINARY, meaning if you resisted 1 damage out of 200, you resisted the whole spell, that was the reason frost didn't gain benefit from CoE pre-1.9 either.

And.. theorycraft really sucks.

Perhaps. Why can't you blink out of Wing Clip?

That, and you keep referring to Trinket. Like you said, it has a 5 minute cooldown. They can only use it once in a battle.

But once is more than enough. And blink doesn't break snares, only stuns and bonds.

Doesn't matter, you still get away. :Puzzled:

5 min cooldown compared to 25 seconds, or use another skill.

I get away, but at range, a mage is at a great disadvantage if he fights hunters (as you said, I should stay in the deadzone), since hunters' attack speed is greater, and can't be interrupted (while a mage casts is increase as he takes damage).

25 seconds I cannot use any other method of incapacitating him (since he can kite me with Wing Clip, or FD+Ice Trap me).
