I play GuildWars, and everyone at my school plays WoW. Is paying a monthly fee worth WoW? Yes or no.

I got guild wars and World of warcraft.... guild wars sucks in every way (except graphics maybe) compared to WoW , and the fee is totally worth it , no doubt.... no doubt at all.

It's inarguably worth it for at least a few months, after that it depends if you like what is offered for high-level players.

When you think about it, the fee isn't that much. But that's IF you have a job.

If you don't...then life sucks.

Once thing I found concerning the fee,

If I played WoW for a whole year, and didnt buy any other games, that would cost me $40 for Game Cards, and Id be buying 6 of them. $240 all together there.

Now if I were to go buy other games (Id buy around 3 or 4 new releases a year) and on average they cost $90 - $100, roughly $350 - $400 for the year.

I could spend that $240 on WoW, and get a helluva lot more out of one game, than to buy several other games ill finished and usually move onto something else, unless of course, its exceptionally good.

P.S. Australian prices quoted, and sometimes I find a game card cheaper than the retail price (RRP: $40) :p

well im sorry if this is sorta hi-jacking, but im stuck between cs source and wow. i dont really like rpg games and find myself playing them for only a month or so. I have been playing Condition zero for about 2 years and i flick on and off of diablo2lod(which i guess i dont play anymore because i sold my key to some kid for 15 bucks)

I think it is worth it. Having owned and played both, there simply was no comparison. There is just something about WoW that grabs you and holds your interest until you bleed!

That game os so boring, imagine diablo 2, but instead of killing someone in a a second or 2, it takes 30, and then imagine doing that for about 7 hours, then you go and get a group and do the same thing, and then you can do the same thing, against other people, there is aboloutley no point to the game. Not to mention the roleplaying is utter crap, there is no story, the atmospherer disapears after a cople days, there is no carchter customazation other than some "talents" system, ne1 can play the game. The only challenge is how much time you want to put in. There is no way to do anything cool, fast. Your basically paying blizzard a couplle dollars a month to sit at a desk and click at stuff four hours. You should go get a desk job bbecause that might be more entertaining ( and more money ). WoW means, Wow that sucked!
