So I’m on a nearly full server and Outland was an absolute lagfest. I decided until the newness of the place wore off I would make an alt, I choose a human paladin. I’ve gotten the paladin to level 24 and I have come to a realization that talent wise I have no idea what I’m doing. So I was wondering what you established paladins would recommend as a good talent tree? I would personally like to go healing but still be able to hold my own, can I do this effectively?

To level up in you want retribution talents to start off with. Most definitely you want Seal of Command. You could start off with 5/5 Improved BoM, 5/5 Deflection then SoC and go from there and get Conviction etc. It is up to you but SoC is a must :D

This coming from a person that only got to level 43 on his paladin but.. I think Retro is the best spec. While you do get high damage, you do sacrifice a fair amount of surviveability... It is based on preference though.

1-59 go retribution

When you're ready for outland go holy. Also invest in some spell damage gear. Most mobs out there are demons, which means we can use our offensive holy spells a lot of the time. It also makes you more desirable for instance runs than a retribution paladin would be.

I too decided to make a Paladin, and I'm hooked. Totally different style than my lock thats for sure, and I've paused on him at LvL 64 atm (bordem/want back to horde roots, lolz)

Ok, question time. Here is the build I've decided to work on, can I get some opinions please.

Also, I've been using two handed weapons, however I'm curious to know if perhaps a nice main hand and sheild would be good/better for certain situations, like tanking.

The two-hand I've been using (currently only at LvL 25)

Sin'dorei Warblade

Two-Hand Sword 49 - 75 Damage Speed 3.40 (18.2 damage per second) +10 Strength +4 Stamina

I've since changed to;

Guardian Blade

Binds when equipped Two-Hand Sword 50 - 76 Damage Speed 2.90 (21.7 damage per second) 40 Armor Durability 95 / 95 Requires Level 21 Equip: Increases defense rating by 13.

Currently working on the BE Paladin quest, with the reward;

Blood-Tempered Ranseur

Binds when picked up Two-Hand Polearm 45 - 69 Damage Speed 2.90 (19.7 damage per second) +6 Strength +9 Stamina +6 Intellect Durability 80 / 80
