I don't like how they're adding new classes to the existing races. Tauren Paladin simply makes no sense, Troll Druid is meh, and lack of Blood Elf Warrior made the Blood Elves a bit more unique. I also don't like how Outland and Northrend are going to be somewhat excluded from this new content. I liked Outland the most, because it was really interesting. I like the new races, particularly Worgen. I also like how they reorganized the land in Cataclysm, and the whole area is completely new.

As a lvl 80 Troll Hunter with all Tier 9 armor with some Tier 9.5 and 10 stuff thrown in Going from Mana which never made sense to me anyways to Focus is quite a change and very few of the Hunters are happy about it.

My Hunter is Mamotte on Blood Furnace

Pre patch 4.01 my Hunter had 5000+ attack power, had over 50% crit strike and about 22,000 heath. DPS was about 3000k in raids.

Post 4.01 my attack power went down to about 4300, my crit strike rating went down to about 42%. DPS was about 1900 in raids.

My DK does not seem to care one way or another, he seems to function about the same.

My DK is Neroon on Blood Furnace.

I also have a Blood Elf Paladin named Briarios on Blood Furnace. He is spec'd Retribution and his dps is low as he is still getting gear.

I love this feedback on the zones, and class mechanics.

I personally have an 80 of every class as I dedicated my life to gaming as I/we ( Ejeet ) are gamers for gamers.

I find my DK tanking since 4.X to be superior in terms of threat compared to my paladin and druid, only my warrior is really able to compete with threat per sec, and in 5 mans i find its still a simple faceroll with a dk while with my pally or even druid, I am fighting for aggro in 5's like a %*#% anyway.. enough dk ranting...

I do agree that hunters having focus was a good move as it was like that in the original wow alpha and even in the TBC beta at one point but blizzard kept returning to mana vs focus, I'm glad they set it free this time.

I also will miss the under utilized zones from the two previous expansions and I hope that blizz will at least include some form of quest line to goto outland I mean gosh that place is dead aside from standard levelers.

I agree, I do not understand making Tauren Paladins, and can you picture a Blood Elf Warrior with titans grip, would look kind of silly. also if the hubs are not there there is really no reason to go to the previous expansion content at all, I understand why they say they are doing it, but we will see if it is the best idea.

They might just include Outland/Northrend as part of the next expansion, as part of levelling to 100 or something, seeing as how 80->85 is a bit of a rip. They said that the next one is in the works (and a movie is as well), so place your bets!

I seem to be in the other direction in terms of tanking. My dk is having terribad threat problems, while my pally and druid can hardly be taunted off of, and they are considerably less geared than my DK.

I've tanked on my DK almost since release of WOTLK, always liked it, always got in good groups. Now I look like a scrub because I have threat problems. It's aggravated me so much that I have just parked him, not worth the frustration.

As for hunters, I understand the sense behind using focus over mana, but I do not feel like hunters are as efficient as they used to be. I was pulling 6k dps in raids with t9 as survival before patch, 8.5k in icc. Now I'm struggling for 5.5k as BM or Marksman, in or out of icc, with ICC gear. One thing I feel like would help is if they changed the focus cost for some moves... Or damage for some moves. Arcane shot needs either more damage, with a CD or less focus. Its a worthless move, but you need it to stay away from capping full on focus.

I've been playing my cata beta recently. It still looks promising. I still feel like tanks are going to have threat problems at 85. As a 85 rogue, you have 88k health with level 85 blues on. The dps scales somewhat accordingly. However, tank threat seems to be generating near 80 threat. Its not gonna be enough unless you have a hunter or rogue for an initial boost.

Things I AM NOT looking forward to in Cata: I know I sound like a pessimist, and I don't mean to, but I feel like cata, for me anyways is going to be a big deterrent from playing wow, simply because first of all, I hate goblins, and I've been a hordie forever, I've always hated the goblins in wow. Second, the class combination that are coming out are ridiculous. The main one that I wanted was that Undead could now be paladins. The argument was that it wouldn't fit into the lore. Why not, " They were human paladins before they were undead, when they were brought back, they kept some paladin abilities." Seems simple, but nope, Undead got hunters...why? Also, Professions are gonna be capped at 525 now. X(

Sadly, I'm gonna quit tanking and healing altogether. 2 Favorite roles were changed to much, or nerfed(imo) and have lost my interest. I always liked the pressure of being a bigger raid asset, now not so much.

Things I am looking forward to in cata: New dungeon encounters Not as much welfare epix Guild Ranking and Progression Deathwing torching you once a day

All this math and technical stuff just turned me off from starting to play WoW again.

I completely agree, I used to be the tank, mostly because I like being the centre of attention but moving on, if tanking goes down then all I have left is dps'ing which I find quite common and boring, I'd rather be a tank. It's what I've always done in WoW and never done anything different apart from going to my Rogue every now and again maybe its a blessing in disguise for my as its my chance to try out new things.
